My boyfriend wants me to marry him, but I'm not ready!?

He and I have known for a very short period of time, and gave me a ring the promise before I left for Germany. I'll be here for the next two years, probably in Turkey for 15 months, and after settling in Italy. He says that now that we're engaged, and you're looking for diamond engagement rings, but I told him I'm not ready. I'm 19 and I want to get my degree in nursing and art before something drastic happens in my life. Who has never known my parents, and kept thinking I really do not want to marry because they want to wait. This makes no sense to me. I mean, do not want to wait? I do not want to divide my attention between my future children to school, and I will not be financially unstable, so I want that education off the road. I too am ready to commetment not so great. He says it's hard to trust me because every time I raise the issue is "one thing after another." Help!
