wives remove my wedding ring?

My wife and I are divorcing. His friendship at this stage and we both feel that we should sell our wedding rings and put the money in a fund bills, etc. My question is that since the ring on her finger was she has taken quite a bit of weight and his fingers are much larger. Does anyone knows a painless way to remove the ring. The material is platinum … I mention this as i dont know if the ring material has no consequences for their elimination. Any help is welcome appriciated because so tight, but we have to get it off.

If nothing else works try to go to a jeweler. Maybe I could help her take it and not damage the ring so bad.
