Does silver jewelry go black and how can you keep?

I am interested in buying silver jewelry, like gold these days is too expensive dam. My mother told me that if you wear your jewelry everyday and do your normal activities with it (eg, washing dishes, etc. with her in bathroom) it goes black? Is this true? I'm good with my jewelry at the time. I have all day to work and go home and take off before the bath i. That's why its so cheap? I really want to get silver as I have seen my wedding ring in silver and we're going to find gold or white gold are going to pay thousands of dollars for it and the mo its R400.00 All I care about also the use of expensive jewelry like these days is rare to find and tell you which sounds to KFC!! – What happened to my friend just married and wanted his ring R4000.00! i use silver … if you have body heat black silver is very fast … i use toothpaste to clean silver … really works .. if it is just the chain of things that I take a bit of hot water put a little detergent init .. Dip the jewelry in the water and use a toothbrush to clean the jewelry … worked for me … good luck:)
