Have you or has sold her wedding ring to get ahead financially?

My husband has been working hard to get out of debt. We got married recently made a big move and, admittedly, over-expenditures from time to time (like buying a puppy before being free of debts). I just recently made a big decision to leave my career and jump to another that will make me feel healthier, happier and, in turn, our marriage too. To get out of debt faster and better things I suggested sharing my wedding ring for something simpler, which allows us to get out of debt faster and our lives before. The ring is beautiful, but we had to have it repaired several times because the adjustment was not a good fit for the diamond. Also, it's not my style and what I will be significantly cheaper. My husband is fine with him. What do you think? Is it a bad omen? Am I a bad wife for wanting to simplify to get out of debt and go after some of our dreams before?
