Should I get a wedding ring or not?
I have a 3 stone 1.5ct princess cut platinum engagement ring. It was originally to have this as my ring single, but now I think I want a wedding ring. What do you think? Should I get a simple platinum band, a band channel set princess cut (and if so, only one or one on each side) or a jacket? Do they even make coats of 3 stone rings? If so does anyone have a direct link to a picture of how See? Any advice and suggestions are welcome!
Personally, I can not imagine not having a wedding ring. The engagement ring is a symbol of a promise to marry, but the wedding ring is the symbol of the promise of being married – is a band that shares with her husband and represents their union, I think, in a different way than the engagement ring does. It was really important to me that my husband and my wedding ring matched, but this is certainly not the "norm". The thing really clear about is that his ring looks good with almost any style of wedding band. Coats do not think for a 3-stone ring, but you may be able to find a "ring guard ", which looks like two rings on top, but are linked below. These are sometimes difficult to find in platinum, however, so if you like that style, you may find you have better luck with two separate bands, or have a custom made. (Something like this … http://www.annharringtonjewelry.com/ringguard8.html) A platinum band of friction is to be beautiful, or one that is engraved, textured, or has an edge milgrain it. However, a channel set princess cut band would be great, too … the only advice I offer is to ensure that the diamonds in the band are not bigger than smaller diamonds in his enggement ring … the ratio will be better, and do not want the band to eclipse her engagement ring.
Why not go to a store with her future husband and see some bands near the ring and see what you (or both) as? If you're not sure if you want one or two, you can always get one for now and if you want a second, making it more late? Perhaps as an anniversary gift? Depending on the size of your hand, you may find your ring with two bands seems "too big" on her finger too.
